Espartina Bis Hat

Soft and pliable, the Espartina is made from a 5/16” raffia tape that’s stitched into a coil and then gracefully eased out to its final shape. The overlapping straw and large brim provide excellent UV protection. The laced ribbon on the square crown—inspired by the ribbon ties of traditional Basque espadrilles—slips through eyelets on the brim to become chin straps. The brim gently slopes downward and then turns up in a two-inch border. This hat is extremely flexible and can easily be rolled up to be packed into a tote.
